We are often asked how we got started raising alpacas. After discovering these fascinating creatures at a highway rest stop one fall afternoon, we began visiting farms and researching the alpaca industry and lifestyle. Intrigued to find their luxurious fleece makes wonderful yarn and clothing, we came to the conclusion that high quality fiber production is the sustainable future of the alpaca industry. In 2007 we purchased 3 pregnant females and boarded them at another farm. Two years later, we left city life for our own farm and began developing our herd.
Our breeding program focuses on increased fleece density, uniform fiber, fineness and maximizing the income potential from our fiber harvest.
Alpaca Yarn, Clothing and Gifts. In our farm store we sell alpaca yarn, roving, clothing, rugs and other alpaca products. We develop and manufacture alpaca products made from the fiber of our own herd. And, we are members of the North American Alpaca Fiber Producers, an agricultural cooperative dedicated to creating the highest quality alpaca products from fiber produced and processed in North America.
Meet the Alpacas. You are always welcome to stop by the farm when you're in the Puget Sound area. We would love to introduce you to our friendly alpacas and guard llamas who will nibble treats from your hand.
